INFORMATION WE COLLECT
HIDA will have access to all of the user’s files stored in their Google Drive. HIDA will only collect data from the folders the user chooses for analysis. Data you submit to HIDA should be anonymized and contain no personal data traceable to any individual.
AUTHORIZATION SCOPES
All sequencing data files and HIDA result files are saved on your Google Drive and are subject to the Google Privacy Policy. HIDA will request access to the UserInfo.Email, UserInfo.Profile and Drive OAuth scopes. These allow HIDA to access files that you select for analysis by our pipeline, to upload results directly to your Drive, and to send notifications to your Google email address.
HOW DO WE USE THIS INFORMATION
When a user selects the folder of data they want to analyze from their Drive, HIDA will open that folder, extract the files within it, and save those files to our server. These files are then processed by our pipeline. HIDA then emails the user about the status of the pipeline. Once HIDA pipeline completes, the results of the analysis are uploaded directly to the user’s Drive as a zip folder.

HIDA shares the results of analysis with the intended user.
CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
HIDA reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time. HIDA will notify significant changes to our Privacy Policy by placing a prominent notice on the HIDA website. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. Users should periodically check the HIDA website and the Privacy Policy page for updates.
