Privacy Policy

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

PHG will have access to all of the user’s files stored in their Google Drive. PHG will only collect data from the folder the user chooses for analysis. Data you submit to PHG should be de-identified and contain no personal data traceable to any individual.

AUTHORIZATION SCOPES

All sequencing data files and PHG result files are saved on your Google Drive and are subject to the Google Privacy Policy. PHG will request access to the UserInfo.Email, UserInfo.Profile and Drive OAuth scopes. These allow PHG to access files that you select for analysis by our pipeline, to upload results directly to your Drive, and to send notifications to your Google email address.

HOW DO WE USE THIS INFORMATION

When a user selects the folder of data they want to analyze from their Drive, PHG will open that folder, extract the files within it, and save those files to our server. These files are then processed by our pipeline. PHG then emails the user about the status of the pipeline. Once PHG pipeline completes, the results of the analysis are uploaded directly to the user’s Drive as a single folder, named as ‘PHG_submissionID’

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE SHARE

PHG shares the results of analysis with the intended user only.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

PHG reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time. PHG will notify significant changes to our Privacy Policy by placing a prominent notice on the PHG website. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. Users should periodically check the PHG website and the Privacy Policy page for updates.
